In-Person Training

Are you looking for a personal trainer who meets you where you are, understands your goals and abilities, and who works with you to create a plan?

As a trainer in Peoria, Illinois, I work hard making sure every one of my personal training clients walks away from each session feeling stronger, more empowered, and accomplished.

I enjoy working with adults of all ages, genders, and abilities.

I truly enjoy helping people discover ways to lose excessive weight, exercise safely while pregnant, ease back from pregnancy, gain strength enough to walk without a walker, prepare to climb a mountain, prepare for 5k’s, and so much more.

Although in-person sessions are typically 45 minutes, I also offer 30 minute and 60 minute sessions.

How does personal training work?

First, we will set up an initial consult. This can be done in person or over video chat via Zoom.

If you’re in the local Peoria area, I’d be glad to meet you in person. I work at UFitness (formally Landmark Health Club) in Landmark Plaza.

I can easily meet you at UFitness, another gym, or another local space.

Being able to interact via Zoom or in person helps me to gauge your expressions better and provides a chance for me to see how you move around.

During the initial consult, we will discuss your current lifestyle, your goals, and your experience.

We will work together to come up with a schedule for your training, how to use my app, and create a game plan.

Next, we will set up an assessment. During your assessment, I will take your measurements and photos.

Measurements and photos are optional, but highly recommended. They are powerful tools to help track progress.

Also, during your assessment, I will ask you to do a few exercises to monitor what your abilities are.

I will then create a plan for you based on what we’ve discussed and where I feel that we should start.

I always work on the foundations with everyone to make sure your core is strong, your form is appropriate, and your body can function well.

Then, we take it to the next level based on your goals, progress, and skills.

Some of my clients use my app to track their habits and calories.

Some clients use the app for the guided classes outside of our workouts.

And some clients just let me use the app when we are training together.

I’ll use it to keep track of your workout metrics as we go through your program together.

How does virtual training work?

First, we will set up an initial consult. This will typically be a video chat via Zoom. Schedule your initial consult today!

Being able to interact via Zoom rather than over the phone or via written message helps me to gauge your expressions better and provides a chance for me to see how you move around.

This call helps me to know where we might need to work on some things.

During the initial consult, we will discuss your current lifestyle, your goals, and your experience.

We will work together to come up with a schedule for your training, how to use my app, and create a game plan.

Next, I will assign an assessment in my app. I will encourage you to add your measurements and photos to the secure app.

Measurements and photos are optional, but highly recommended. Photos and measurements are powerful tools to help track progress.

Also, during your assessment, I will ask you to do a few exercises to monitor what your abilities are.

Your assessment may be done with me over Zoom or on your own, where you will be requested to upload your assessment into the app.

I will then create a monthly plan for you based on what we’ve discussed and where I feel that we should start.

Then, we take it to the next level based on your goals, progress, and skills.

Training virtually can look a little different for everyone. I have two versions listed below.

Each version includes app access, stretching videos, and personalized support.

Additionally, we can add on other features such as calorie counting, food journaling, connect to a smart watch, recipe books, nutrition guides, and more.

Each version of virtual training has a request of at least a monthly commitment. The number of workouts and coaching calls may vary.

Version 1:

I will meet with you for each of your sessions over Zoom. These sessions can be anywhere from 15 minutes to 90 minutes. (That part is up to you!)

I will coach you on your movements and exercises. I will be able to demonstrate for you and watch you as you go along, correcting form as needed.

We will go through the workouts on the app together from the comfort of your space. I will help track your workouts and progress. You may choose to include other workouts that you do on your own, as well.

Coaching calls: If you have questions about your programs, you’re always welcome to bring them up during our Zoom sessions.

Your program includes one, 30-minute monthly coaching call where we can discuss your goals, questions, and concerns. Additional coaching calls can be purchased as requested.

Version 2:

I will assign workouts for you to do according to your schedule. You will do them on your own time following along in my app.

You’re encouraged to upload videos of your form and track your progress as you go, so I can provide more feedback and support. You’ll be able to track your workouts and progress.

Coaching calls: If you have questions about your programs, you’re always welcome to send them via the messenger in my app. I typically respond within 24 hours or less.

Because this version is done more on your own, this program includes up to two, 30-minute monthly coaching calls where we can discuss your goals, questions, and concerns.

Additional coaching calls can be purchased as requested.
